摘要:
Enumerating, analysing and interpreting theatrical, dance and musical performances suchas pantomime, stories, ballads and songs, puppet theatre and processions, the authorpoints to the ideological clash between the two big religions of the Mediterranean. OnSicily, this clash results in the negative perception of the Saracen heritage. Variousperformances that picture the relationship between the Moors and the Christians on Sicilyare reduced to the division according to the topic of the armed conflict and according to thetopics of the transfiguration and wedding. The author uses the historical andanthropological arguments to discuss and supports the symbolic bipolarity in which thefighting principle and the negative energy of the conflict are functionally placed in therelationship with the erotic-nuptial principle and the positive energy of love and fertilitywithin the numerous ceremonial contexts.
