JUNOS基于FreeBSD开发，可以移植安装于X86主机，并且启动系统自带逻辑路由器功能，可以在单个系统内构架出复杂的网络测试环境，因此是可选择地用于学习该项操作系统和IP协议的廉价解决方案。
