SharePoint 2013上应用语言包切换站点显示语言

大致步骤如下：

1、安装语言包

2、进入站点设置。激活语言

3、两种方式切换语言

a、设置ie浏览器的显示语言

b、在sharepoint站点中设置帐号个人的“语言以及区域选项”

Forthepurposeofthiswalkthrough,IhaveSharePoint2013installedinstandalonemode.BydefaultthelanguageisEnglish.NowIamgoingtoapplytheArabiclanguagepacktomySharePointfarm.

Downloadlanguagepacks

IwasabletofindthelanguagepackfromtheMSDNsubscription.Ifyouarefacingdifficultiestolocatethelanguagepack,remembertoaddthespecifiedlanguagetoyoursearchfilter.

Alllanguagepacksdownloadswiththesamefilename.Soifyoudownloadmultiplelanguagepacks,makesureyoudownloadittodifferentfolderstoavoidoverwritingfiles.

OnceyoudownloadtheISOfile,runthesetup.exe.SinceitisArabiclanguage,theinterfaceisinArabic.Ihaveasecondopinionhere.Theadministratorwhoinstallslanguagepackmaynotbefamiliarwiththecorrespondinglanguage,soanoptiontodisplaythedetailsinEnglishisbetterIthink.Startingthesetupfromtheinstallationmediawillbringthefollowingdialog.

Asusualyouneedtoselectthecheckboxfor“Iagreetolicenseterms”andthenclickonthecontinuebutton.Onceyouclickcontinue,theinstallationstartsimmediately.

Oncetheinstallationsucceeds,youwillfindthebelowscreen.

Thecheckboxheretakesyourpermissiontorunproductsconfigurationwizard.YouneedtorunthisinordertoapplychangestotheSharePointfarm.Clickonthefinishbuttonwillstarttheconfigurationwizard.Theproductsconfigurationwizardwillbeinyourdefaultlanguage,soformeitisinEnglish.NowitisgoingtoupdateyourSharePointfarm.Youarenotsupposedtoenterorselectanyoptionhere,justclicksomenextbuttons.

YouneedtoclickYesonthewarningdialogappears.ItjustalertsyousayingthatIISwillbestoppedduringtheupdateprocess.Theinstallationstartsimmediately.

Ifeverythinggoesok,youwillseethefollowingsuccessmessage.

NowyourSharePointfarmcanusetheinstalledlanguage.Tousetheinstalledlanguagewithasite,gototheSiteSettingspage.InsteadofSiteActionsmenuinSharePoint2010,youhaveasettingsp_w_picpaththatbringstheSiteActionsmenuinSharePoint2013.

NowintheSiteSettingspage,underSiteAdministration,youwillfindLanguageSettings.

Inthelanguagesettings,youseethedefaultlanguage(whichwillbedecidedduringthesitecreationstepandyoucannotchangethislater),andalternativelanguagesthatsitecanutilize.InmycaseIcanseetheArabicthere.SelectthelanguagesfromthelistandclickOK.

Onceyouappliedthechanges,nowyoursitecandelivertheUIintheselectedlanguages.InSharePoint2010,therewasalanguageselectionavailableforuserstoselectfrom.ThefollowingisascreenshotofSharePoint2010languageselectionoptions.

IfyoucreateasiteinSharePoint2013,inthetemplateselectionyouhaveanoptiontoselecttheexperienceversion(either2010or2013).Ifyouselectyoursiteas2010experienceversion,youwillseethesameoptionforselectingthelanguage.

In2013,thingshavechangedabit.Thepagewillrenderthespecifiedlanguagebasedon2things

Thebrowsersettings.

IhaveasitewithdefaultlanguageasEnglish.IalsoenabledtheArabiclanguagefromthesitesettingspageforthissite.Inmybrowser,IhavedefaultlanguageasEnglish.InthiscasesitewillbedisplayedinEnglish

IhaveaddedArabiclanguagetotheIElanguagesettings.

SinceArabichasfirstpreference,thesitewillrenderinArabic.

Changingthelanguagefrombrowserwillhaveimmediateeffectinthesiteappearance.

Basedonthelanguagepreferencesinuser’sprofile

WithBYOD,peopleareusingmultipledevicesatwork.Soinsteadofchangingsettingsineverybrowser,usercanupdatethelanguagepreferenceintheuser’ssettings.Toupdatetheuserssettings,fromtheusermenu,selectAboutMe

Youwillberedirectedtoyourpersonalpage.

ClickonEditlink,youwillberedirectedtoupdateprofilesection.

Clickonthe…(threedots)toseethelanguageandregionmenu

ClickonthelanguageandRegionlinkwilltakeyoutothepagewhereyoucansetyourpreferences.Youcansimplyaddlanguagestothisanddecidetheorderhere.

Iaddedthelanguagesasbelow.

Nowyouwillseethesiteisrenderedonyourpreferredlanguage,aspermysettingsitisArabic.

Thesettingsinyourprofilearehavinghighestpriority.IfyousetthepreferencesinyourprofileandtheUIwillberenderedinthepreferredlanguageifthesiteisavailableinthatlanguage.ConfiguringmultiplelanguageoptionsiseasyinSharePoint.
