编程心语（二）—— Summer Vacation Job Diary（July）

　　Update：2010-07-12

　　After over a month celebration of graduation , I scored myself a job for this summer vacation , and that means I come back ,  back to the work mode , back to coding.

　　This is my first day in this company , so first and foremost , I gonna take several time to adjust to the new environment , and people work around .

　　And for the job part , I need to learn how to setup IBM cognos , and the configuraion in the IIS 7.0 under Windows 2008 Server system .

　　Then I start to get familiar with all the possible operation under this software , such as the way to use the report controls , data process , report configuration ,  run the report , write my own html+css+Javascipt for the reveal of the report , etc.

　　Update：2010-07-13

　　Due to my partner hardly knows the html+css+javascript knowledge , so today my job is to help him , to beautify the report , make the reports have a better visual effect in the webpage .

　   So yesterday's work paid off , I can start write my own html+css+javascript in the report .

　　First , I add a border to each report , and in order to make it look better , I use a radius border , and with some background image for the decoration.

　　Second , I chang the way that shows the buttons in the page , I used a menu style that I've created before , and it looks right suit the page.

　　Last , I need to create a common effect , which is when you move your mouse to some content on the page , and the page will shows some special infomation right beside the mouse position . This is simple , first I write a function to find the position of the mouse , and create a div element in some special position around the mouse , after that I only need to setup the condition that will trigger this function , and the content that I want to show in this div . As to the content that need to be shown in the div , it's about to change the way to show the money , such as change 11,028,666.00 , which unit is 元 ,  into 壹仟壹佰零贰萬捌仟陆佰陆拾陆元零角零分 or change 1128.66 , which unit is 万元 , into 壹仟壹佰贰拾捌点陆陆萬元.

　　Today I got a day off the work , to help my postgraduate tutor to prepare a important conference , it's called "Third National Computer Programming and Teaching Seminar" , I helpd to prepare the books , souvenirs that will be given to the participants in this conference , etc.

　　I now am excited to listen to the report that will be given by some famous professionals in tomorrow's conference , cuz I believe that I can get something that will benefit me in my programming learning in the future.

　　Unlike what I thought yesterday , I am kind of disappoint for the conference , cuz a lot of participants have been distracted by the books that shown on the desk , cuz if they need some of them , they only need to sign some personal infomation on a sheet , then the books just belong to him/her , and can be taken away totally for free , so a so-called Teaching Seminar soon turn to a book market .

　　Kind of funny , but kind of unreasonable , isn't it ?

　　Update：2010-07-16

　　I am back to work , today my job is to continue the work on webpage . 

　　I chang the way to arrange page elements , add some new well-made images for some decoration on the page , and fix some problems , such as setup the position of some page elements , etc. And I created a little trick today , that is -- when you directly use the button control under cognos edit environment , you will find that the text that shown on the button , for example ,  "确定" , "完成" , something like that , cannot be shown right in the middle of the button , then my solution for this problem is to add a text control to the button , then I solve this problem with the whitespace editing on the button , and for the effect , just what I expected before.

     Maybe there are some other better solutions , but at least for now , I got this one for my own.

      I feel kind of easy today , because our manager heads to downtown , reports to the clients for what we improved through the work last week ,  make some communication with them , and get some feedbacks , etc .

      So I just check out some documentation under cognos setup directory , and do some study on my own.

      Today our manager gather us for a meeting , and assign the work for this week .

      What I need to do is to continue the work on designing report for more themes , but today I just modify some details that proposed by our clients yesterday , and do some preparation for tomorrow.

　　Today our team finished the modification on all the report page , and I got one thing depressed , and one thing excited 

　　For the thing that depress me , is I cannot fix the problem that strangely brought by the Javascript , and I want sb can help me , but it also remains , the link is http://www.cognoschina.net/club/thread-7639-1-1.html  , maybe someday I can get some inspiration somewhere .

　　But for the exciting one , that is I get an opportunity to communicate face-to-face with the clients on Friday , and go to Zunyi for another same one , yeah , it's not a new thing , but I only stayed a short time here , and it's the first time that I got involved this , so I feel kind of nervous right now , but I also feel good about it.

　　Today we modify something on the report design , such as the text for the report title , some wrong data shown on the report , and I still work on the report problem mentioned before , I have a little convasation online with the author of the lock table Javascript , and he promise to work on it on weekend , I am pretty looking forward to his answer .

　　Update：2010-07-23

　　Today we mainly run some test on the work throughout this week , and prepare for showing the system function tomorrow in the downtown of GuiYang. And we do find some fatal mistakes , for example , I made a mistake for using the absolute url of images , so we can normally show it as we want in our LAN , but when we disconnect the web , we
find that we cannot see the picture that we use to decorate the page , and this definitly will affect the effect
when we show it to our clients . Ooops... it's fortunate that we find some kind of these problems today , so that's why software test is so important during our software development process.

　　Today our group mainly worked on the design of the privilege management , including the table design in the database , the relationship between tables , and the web ui design , considering the universality , visualization , and so on.

　　Today I go to ZunYi tobacco along with two of the company supervisors , and we have some conversation with the leader in the Information Center here , join a meeting , get a brief understanding for the work nowadays in ZunYi tobcco , and talk about the emphasis of our work in the next level.

　　Today I come back to office , and collect the thoughts that we mainly communicated in ZunYi , and the point is I need to make two project solution documents only in three days , quite frankly , that's really tough for me , first , I am lack of experience on project designing , second , I am a little clumsy on the writing stuff , maybe that's because I deal with the program all the time , but at least I try my best to make a draft eventually.

　　Today I get some modification proposition from my manager , and changed the outline of the document , rearrange the structure of it , and add some other contents to fill it , and I have to admit that make documents is not easier than make programs , 100% !
