Hejr 6-8

6- AND THEY SAID: “YOU WHO HAD THE ZEKR SENT DOWN UPON, YOU ARE INSANE”.

7- “WOULD YOU BRING THE ANGELS TO US, IF YOU ARE TRUTHFUL”.

8- WE SEND THE ANGELS DOWN ONLY WITH THE TRUTH, AND THEN THEY WILL NOT BE GIVEN MORE TIME”.

Mohamed, prayer and peace upon him, was called many unflattering things by the disbelievers. He was called Magician, and was called mad or insane. They did not call him liar, because he was known for truthfulness and honesty before Islam, so they could not call him liar, as he called magician at some times, then called liar.

This was also illogical, as an insane person would not be able to compose such a very beautiful and eloquent book, as the Quran; they, claimed that the Quran was Mohamed’s word, not God’s word. The disbelievers sent a man called Al-Waleed Ibn El-Mogerah, to speak to Mohamed, prayer and peace upon him. Allah’s messenger, prayer and peace upon him, recited some Ayahs of the Quran to him. Then Al-Waleed went back to his friends of the disbelievers and said to them: “This is not poetry, for we know what poetry is like, and this is not the word of priests, for we know this too. It is very sweet and very eloquent, and it is superior to anything else”.

Then they asked him to show them the Angels, as a proof of his truthfulness. Allah the prophets and messengers Allah the Highest sent were human, for they were sent to humans. They were ordinary men, speaking the language of their people, working, getting married, eating and drinking like all men. They were sent to speak to people and show them the right path, and they also had to be good examples, in their manner and behaviour, for their followers to look up to them and model themselves on them. Allah the Highest said: “AND WHAT STOPPED PEOPLE BELIEVING IS THAT THEY SAID: “DID ALLAH SEND A MAN FOR A MESSENGER? * SAY: “IF THERE WERE ON EARTH ANGELS WALKING PEACEFULLY, WE WOULD HAVE SENT THEM AN ANGEL FOR A MESSENGER”. (S: 17 A: 94-95)

There are angels with us all the time, but the time when all of us will see the angels, is the day of resurrection, and then it will be too late for people to believe or do good. Allah the Highest said: SHALL THEY WAIT UNTIL ALLAH COMES TO THEM IN CANOPIES OF CLOUDS WITH THE ANGELS, ALL ISSUES WILL BE SETTLED, AND EVERY THING WILL RETURN AND BE REFERRED TO ALLAH”. (S: 2 A: 210)
