Freescale began its business in Tianjin, China in 1992. Today, we have over 4,000 employees in China, and our operations include an assembly and test plant in Tianjin, six sales offices , as well as design and development resources in five Chinese cities namely Beijing, Suzhou, Tianjin, Shanghai and Chengdu.
This position will be responsible for embedded Linux SDK (Software Development Kit) development based on Freescale microprocessors based on Power architecture. The engineer will work under Freescale Linux & Opensource software team in Beijing.
Main Responsibility:
- Develop Linux device driver for Freescale QorIQ platforms which are based on Power architecture
- Push the driver to opensource community and get upstreamed.
- Implement unit test and push the driver to Freescale Linux SDK and support the release.
- Develop marketing-driven applications as project needs
- Minimum of 6-8 years of embedded systems programming using Linux or UNIX operating systems
- Strong knowledge in embedded system programming, Linux kernel, device driver and toolchain.
- Strong program skills in C/C++ and assembly language. Familiar with Git source code management tool.
- Experience of low level Linux driver development. Familiar with two or more of the following: PCIe/PCI, Ethernet, DDR, SATA, Power Management, SRIO/RMAN and RAID.
- Familiar with any of the following processors architecture: PowerPC, MIPS or x86. Prefer to have multi-core knowledge.
- Rich Experience on developing control-plane software for network devices at least one of the following areas: Networking, Access, Storage or Industrial devices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good teamwork adaptability, good oral and written English skills, self-motivated.
