FEMcali Jan2014
This app is for the calibration and validation of finite element (FE) models to match data from vibration tests. It uses a metric based on estimates of frequency response function to do the calibration. It supports FE models built by use of Nastran and Abaqus besides Matlab models. Also the code StructDyn (included in distro) is supported. Four test examples of increasing complexity are included. These range from a simple 6-dof problem to a satellite problem involving more than thousand degrees-of-freedom.
Documentation is provided to get you started. The theory is described in a paper available from the Help menu.
NB! If you have not heard of structural dynamics modeling and experimental modal analysis (or system identification) before, you should NOT try this software. However, if you are interested in the model calibration/validation problem in structural dynamics, a try is probably worth the time spent.
