This probably looks pretty familiar—what many of our customers’ infrastructures look like today. On the next slide, you’ll see how BladeCenter can collapse complexity and simplify management of an infrastructure. With BladeCenter, customers can reduce complexity by Consolidating servers Integrating network layers Integrating storage fabric Consolidating applications The results? They can: Reduce costs 1/4 Reduce power costs 1/3 Reduce floor space 1/2 Integrate into 1 ProLiant BL465c The ProLiant BL465c is the double-density server blade for the HP BladeSystem c-Class featuring dual Opteron Rev F processors with the HP ServerWorks HT-2100 chipset. This innovative half-height server blade presents two 2-way blades as one 4-way blade by physically joining the HyperTransport technology channels of the two modules into a single network. The Opteron processor supports 2 to 1 interleaving with DDR2-667 DIMM technology. The processor integrates a main memory DRAM controller that supports a 144-bit (2 x64 bits data plus 16 ECC bits) DRAM array. The DRAM controller supports the following features: Full support of ECC and Advanced ECC on the memory bus Four DIMMs to support 32GB Full support of four dual-rank DIMMs Support for interleaved and non-interleaved memory configurations Note: Mirror memory protection and memory sparing are not supported. The ProLiant BL465c incorporates the serial/USB/video port and two SFF hot-plug SAS/SATA hard drives. The hard drive controller is the SAS Broadcom Rover with socketed 64MB of memory It features a BBWC option supporting RAID 0/1. In addition, the system incorporates two BCM 5706 devices to provide Ethernet connectivity with the additional features of TOE, iSCSI, and RDMA. The ProLiant BL465c supports two optional mezzanine cards: Dual 4Gb/s Fiber Channel ports High speed fabric IO – PCI-Express pass through HP BladeSystem c-Class Solutions I – Technologies, Planning, and Deployment HP BladeSystem c-Class Server Blades for ISS
