1. The resource hacker
Free software for viewing, modifying, adding and deleting the resources of Win32 executable files.
An internal resource compiler and anti-compiler are built in.
It can be used:
1. Check the Win32 executable and the resources of the relevant documents (*. Exe, *. DLL, *. CPL, *. Ocx), under the compiled and the format of the decompiled.
Extract (save) resources to the file (*.res) format, as binary, or as an unedited resource script or image.
ICONS, bitmaps, pointer, menu, dialog, string table, message table, accelerator, Borland forms and version information resources can be fully decompiled for their own format, either as an image or *. Rc text files.
Modify (replace) the resources for the executable.
Image resources (ICONS, Pointers and bitmap) can be the corresponding image file (*. Ico, *. Cur, *. BMP), *. Res files, or even another *. Exe file is replaced.
Dialogue, menu, string table, the accelerator table and news resource script (and Borland form) can be achieved by using internal resources script editor to edit and recompile.
Resources can also be replaced by a *.res file, as long as the replacement resource is the same type and has the same name.
Add new resources to executable files.
Allow a program to support multiple languages, or add a custom icon or bitmap (company logo, etc.) to the program's dialog.
Remove resources. Most compilers add resources that the application will never use to the application. Removing these unused resources can reduce the size of an application
