Computer Science covers the theory and practice behind the design and implementation of computer and information systems. The McGill School of Computer Science is one of the leading teaching and research centers for computer science in Canada and its dynamic and award-winning professors lead cutting-edge research that spans theoretical and applied computer science. Our undergraduates not only learn from this research but actively participate in it. As a computer scientist, you may come to use your training to solve interdisciplinary problems in domains such as biology, philosophy, medicine, information security, mathematics and economics, or create new technology in areas like robotics, music, games and graphics.

The McGill School of Computer Science also offers aMajor in Computer Games.The specialization fulfils all the basic requirements of the Major Computer Science. Complementary courses focus on topics that are important to understanding the technology behind computer games and to gaining experience in software development and design needed for computer game development.
