Time-Frequency Analysis of Liner Frequency Modulation Signal Based on Matlab

Abstract：It is recognized that if a kind of time_frequency distribution does not have good time_frequency assemble quality to liner frequency modulation signal, it isn’t a suitable time_frequency analysis tool for analyzing unsteady signal. Because the Wigner—Ville distribution of single frequency LFM signal is a line, it is fit for analyzing the single frequency LFM signal. However, for many frequencies composition signals, as a result of the cross interference, the time_frequency plane will become illegible. Yet, Radon—Wigner Transform, Fractional Fourier Transform and Chirp-Fourier Transform are much better than Wigner—Ville distribution. Further more, these transforms are different in other performance. This article stresses the advantages and disadvantages of them.
