php用于格式化日期,PHP转换HTML格式化日期

发布日期从Twitter Search API Atom Feed返回为2008-11-03T21：30：06Z需要转换为“X秒/分钟/小时/天前”以显示多久以前发布的Twitter消息.

认为这可以使用DATE_ATOM值的php date()函数来完成吗？
