The Tech team in China Global Selling operates very much like a startup – it moves quickly and is constantly innovating. However, you have the full resources of Amazon at your disposal, allowing you to move at even greater speed. You will find that the team works in a very agile fashion, delivering new features every few weeks, adapting to customer needs as well as delivering against long-term goals.

We are looking for an energetic, focused and skilled Senior Technical Program Manager to lead programs in Amazon Global Selling space. If you are a TPM with strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, have an ability to influence business and technical leaders in a dynamic environment and the desire to be an individual contributor to high-impact space packed with challenging problems involving very complex systems and smart people, we want to talk with you.

Responsibilities:

· Effectively manage customer expectations and resolve conflicts that balance the needs of stakeholders, engineering, product management, operation team and drive improvements to Amazon’s bottom line.

· In an agile environment, drive the entire product lifecycle: requirements definition through specification, design, coding, quality assurance, implementation, integration, launch, and production support with vendor experience in mind.

· Synthesize requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines. This will include writing detailed functional and test specification, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule, and deploy new features.

· Understand service inter dependencies and drive towards technical solutions for multi-tiered systems

· Clarify, prioritize and drive project commitments as well as establish and maintain clear chains of accountability

· Address bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints, and encourage risk-taking behavior to maximize business benefit

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· 5+ years of Technical Program Management experience in a related industry

· Full life-cycle product development experience (from vision to production).

· Problem-solving skills and the abilities to analyze quantitatively, scope technical requirements, and effectively prioritize program deliverables.

· Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· The ability to comfortably and confidently present to all levels within the enterprise, and to work with both technical and non-technical individuals.

· Experience in supply chain management and technologies

· Experience in building partnerships with senior leaders across a variety of stakeholders across multiple business units.

· Experience with agile or similar program management methodologies.

· Experience working with remote teams and external partners.

· Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple business units.
