Enterprise Manager Login Information
The Login Information dialog box allows you to connect
to an Oracle Management Server.
The elements of the Login dialog box are described
below:
Administrator
Enter your Oracle Enterprise Manager administrator
name for the Oracle Management Server. Note that you
are logging in as an administrator of network resources
being serviced by a Management Server, not into a
database as a database user.
The default administrator provided with the Enterprise
is sysman/oem_temp. The system administrator
should change the password immediately. Additional
administrators can be created with the Manage
Administrators option in the System menu.
Password
Enter your administrator password for the Oracle
Enterprise Manager system.
Management Server
Select the name of the node where the Oracle
Management Server is running from the Management
Server pull-down list.
Each Oracle Management Server saves information
required by Oracle Enterprise Manager in a repository,
a set of tables in an Oracle database.
(Management Servers)
Opens the Management Servers dialog box. The dialog
allows you to add, edit, or delete management servers.
NOTE: If you have chosen not to store your repository
credentials during repository creation, you must enter
the
repository's user name that was used to create the
database user and the password for that user in the
Control
Panel/FONT>s Startup Parameters field when you
start the Management Server. The Startup Parameters
field is under the
list of services. The database user and password must
be in the format of /.
If you do not supply your repository credentials in the
Service dialog, the Management Server will not start. If
you
enter the wrong credentials, the Management Server
also will not start.

Quick Tour
Call up the Quick Tour main page, giving you access to
easy-to-follow product tours covering concepts and
basic product operation. Quick Tours include the
Enterprise Manager Console and all optional Packs.

product CD.
