Abstract：With the improvement of the number and complexity of Android application software, accurate and efficient testing technology has gradually become an important assurance for the quality of software applications. By studying the current status of Android automated testing as well as automated testing framework Robotium, this paper improves Robotium framework's shortcomings, designs the Android UI automated testing framework based on the recording playback technology. The framework provides some functions for generate testing scripts, playback testing scripts and generate testing report, elaborates composition, structure and key technology used of the system. Then, describes the process of doing UI automated testing by using this framework, by way of examples to verify the functionality of the framework. Finally, analyzes the advantages as well as shortcomings of this tool, makes a summary of the full paper. UI automated testing tool is mainly used in the regression testing phase, can improve the efficiency and accuracy of the Android UI testing.
