根椐AV-Test的最新测试报告， 在最近一次的测试中，有多达24款杀毒软件参加了这次测试。这次测试的病毒样本均选自最近6个月以来所出现的，病毒样本超过100万个。所有测试的版本都是各安全厂商基于2008年1月7日的最新版本，评测平台基于成熟的Windows XP SP2。

据介绍，这次测试首先是基于病毒库的病毒样本检测。这些病毒样本选自最近的6个月，包括已知的各种类型的样本，如木马、后门、僵尸程序、蠕虫、病毒等。能检测出98%以上的安全产品评级为“非常优秀”(++)，检测病毒样本低于85%的为“差”(--)。
