MYSQL DATABASE STARTUP PROCEDURE

登录mysql报错ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

[root@otherdb ~]# mysql
ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

查看mysql服务是否启动，如果没有启动情况会导致以上错误。

[root@otherdb bin]# service mysqld status
mysqld is stopped
[root@otherdb bin]# service mysqld start
Starting mysqld:                                           [  OK  ]

登录时报Access denied

[root@otherdb bin]# mysql
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

通过交互方式提供用户登录密码

[root@otherdb bin]# mysql -uroot -p
Enter password:
Welcome to the MySQL monitor.  Commands end with ; or \g.
Your MySQL connection id is 4
Server version: 5.1.71 Source distribution

通过非交互的方式登录，需要在命令行中显示提供密码，可以不使用引号，使用单引号，双引号方式进行登录。-p后接显示密码没有空格，否则变为交互模式。

直接提供密码

[root@otherdb bin]# mysql -uroot -p123456
Welcome to the MySQL monitor.  Commands end with ; or \g.
Your MySQL connection id is 5
Server version: 5.1.71 Source distribution
