Plans for Upcoming Spring Semester

Preface

There’s less than five days for the next new spring semester, I came to school and lab a week in advance. In this short but meaningful week, I though a lot about many things, especially the things which I should accomplish this year or this upcomming semester. So I plan to write this blog to record my thoughts recently and set some goals for myself as some kind of an encourage and inspiration.

Usually I dont’t think I am a hard-studying student nor do I am an ambitious person, maybe I had been changed, maybe I really want to do something to receive others’ admiration, however I couldn’t give an explanation to all of this. After all, that’s not a bad thing, I hope I could cherish the time I spent in lab and finally did some memorable accomplishments.

Here I would list the things I want to finish in the next near six months spring semester, namely from Feb. 19, 2019 to Jul. 31, 2019. I set a reminder for me at Jul. 31, I would update this blog then to check which plan I finished and which plan I failed.

Plans

Here I describe concrete plans about papers and blogs, etc.

Papers

As a postgraduate student, publishing papers is my primary goal. I hope I could finish two papers for the following journal/conference.

1. TKDE: This paper has already in progress, but still exists a lot of works need to be done.
2. ICDE: For this important conference, I hope I could soon find a worthy field to start writing and experimenting.

Blogs

Mainly for my CSDN blogs, I plan to write articles about the topics described below:

1. Probability Function and Probability Distribution: In progress, I take some probability-related books from home to lab, wish I could finish that to increase my konwledge about probability theory.
2. Ambiguous Terminology in Machine Learning: Not yet started.
3. Translate book <Neural Netowrks and Deep Learning>: That is a big project, already in progress.
4. (Optional) Latex Techniques: Not yet started.
5. (Optional) Plot Techiniques: Not yet started.

Books

Both paper books and E-books I wish I could read no less than ten books, following is the planned reading list, but not restrictly required, just let books fill my spare time:

An Asset Database, I wanna it help me to analysis my investiments and moniter my assets’ change.
