android IntentService解读

android四大组件之一的Service,和Activity一样重要,在后台运行的Service和Thread有什么区别,首先他们俩不是一个概念,Service是运行在UI线程中的,而Thead是一个独立的线程。知道这个区别后其他的区别随便说点什么都行。这篇文章要讲的是IntentService,IntentService继承自Service,直觉上或许分辨不出这两个类有什么区别,看源码吧!遇到这种情况本人就想看源码实现,这样才知道到底有什么区别。IntentService源码不多,这里直接把完整代码贴出来。

可以看到IntentService内部有两个成员变量:

private volatile Looper mServiceLooper;
private volatile ServiceHandler mServiceHandler;

这里就应该明白一二了,再看看onCreate()方法的实现,

mServiceHandler = new ServiceHandler(mServiceLooper);

开启一个HandlerThread线程,这个HandlerThread类是继承自Thread的,内部实现了一个消息循环。可以看到Service要处理的业务都是通过这个mServiceHandler由HandlerThread处理了(所以就是不在UI线程中处理了)。下面看onStart()的实现:

关键时刻到了,去看handleMessage()的实现:

这里我们要覆写onHandleIntent((Intent)msg.obj),业务就在此函数中处理,处理完之后看到直接调用stopSelf(msg.arg1)。这个函数在Service中实现,

直接请求AMS停止并销毁当前Service了,
简单说一下和Service的不同之处:
(1)可以处理耗时的业务,因为和UI线程无关了。
(2)业务处理完成直接销毁了。
