1-5. IT Network Specialist
Ken: You have experience setting up the local network, Isee. We have three projects that could use your input.
Winsome: If possible, I prefer doing hardware nodes – Level3 equipment like routers. I like the challenge of keeping data flowing alongthe fiber-optic cable! Or have you gone wireless?
K: We specialize in designing Local Area Networks forcompanies that want to be sure that there will be no danger to humans.
W: How do your teams work in this department? Are theyproject-specific or specialty (/ˈspɛʃəlti/, 专长)-specific?
K: We find it’s better to have both, to meet customer aswell as department needs.
W: As I said, I’d like to work with the Level-3 team. Isthat possible?
K: At the moment that team does have an opening. Threeproject team leaders are requesting a Level 3 network specialist respectively (/rɪ'spɛktɪvli/,各自地)and we only have one. Do you have experience setting up logical addressing?
W: I do. So the hardware architect has already set the path?
K: That’s right. These projects start a year ago.
W: I’m glad to put what I learned into use so soon. Myfavorite course was the Open System Interconnect model.
