在尝试使用Hive进行数据库操作时，遇到一个错误提示，指出对于直接连接MetaStore DB的情况，客户端不支持重试机制。问题涉及到对Hive数据库的alter操作，具体命令为更改database hive的字符集为latin1。

 hive 已经有建表语句，然后导入建表， 以下是过程
  

 
 [root@master exercise]# hive -f /opt/exercise/visits.hive

 这个是因为 
 hive 
 用到的mysql 连接包版本不匹配的原因。 我安装的mysql 是 5.6.33，从网络上下载了一个mysql-connector- 
 Java 
 -5.1.36.jar，替换，重启hive，问题解决。 

  我下载了mysql-connector-java-5.1.25-bin 没用 ！！！
