服务器市场：云计算带来新变化高密度需求迎增长点

日前，根据分析机构预期公有云与虚拟化将在2014年为服务器市场带来大幅转变。而服务器白牌供货商随着中国云服务市场而崛起，更多用户并不在采用传统服务器供货商的方案，特别是高密度服务器与微型服务器的推出为用户提供定制化方案。

美国云计算市场服务器业绩表现不稳定，尽管整体服务器市场仍呈现成长，但成长速度有趋缓的迹象。市场研究机构Dell'Oro资表示，虽然2013年服务器市场小幅成长，但虚拟化已经对服务器客户的采购模式造成冲击，私/公有云方案成为用户新选择。

另外，云端服务器领域需求将持续成长，但一般企业对服务器的需求则逐渐衰减；估计服务器市场在2013年与2014年仅各有2%与4%的成长，主要是从数据中心取得最多虚拟化应用的服务。而服务器市场的需求增长多来自微服务器与高密度服务器领域。

云计算带给服务器市场新变化

Dell'Oro估计，2013年有14%的服务器出货至云应用领域，而在2014年增加到20%以上，直接会使得一般企业采购服务器数量减少。未来企业服务器在整体市场所占据的比例会越来越小；而在该市场，机架式与刀片服务器产品将是主流，包括Dell、IBM与HP等目前仍是云计算市场的主要推手，而云服务领域是Google、Amazon的天下。

而现在虽然有许多厂商转向采用低功耗服务器，尚未看到64位ARM核心服务器出现，在该领域的先行厂商中，Calxeda在上个月停业放弃了ARM服务器开发。据了解，Calxeda运营情况不佳的原因，是由于市场预期64位ARM服务器即将问世，导致32位版本产品将面临淘汰。

根据2014 IC Market Drivers一份统计报告，在接下来几年服务器市场的出货成长，主要将来自于客户对更新、成本更低的微型服务器需求。新一代微型服务器更广泛应用于数据中心与云计算领域，特别是以ARM核心方案进军64位服务器市场的产品。

高密度服务器需求迎增长点

正如之前谈到，ARM核心微型服务器虽后势看好，但英特尔不断发力微服务器市场也不容小觑实。在传统服务器领域已经有其他新型态的竞争与挑战，定制化服务器厂商对传统服务器供货商带来冲击，有部分云计算供货商由原本的HP、IBM方案，转向采用定制化的产品，预期未来将进一步成长。

在互联网领域，Google、Amazon、Facebook与Microsoft是目前定制化服务器的四大客户，但未来大型云服务将会出现在中国，而中国用户会倾向于向本地供货商采购服务器，IBM、HP与Dell等服务器厂商不只将面临白牌供货商的竞争，还要应对中国本服务器厂商如浪潮、曙光、联想的挑战。

就核心技术而言，中国本土IC设计业者龙芯自去年开始提供32纳米制程、8核心Godson 3B1500服务器芯片的样品；这是第一颗商用处理器芯片，并打算将供应给10家中国服务器厂商。此消息对积极经营云计算市场的HP、IBM与Dell等几家老牌服务器供货商来说，中国本地服务器将成为最大的威胁之一。

在服务器机型方面，除了传统的机架式与数据中心服务器，高密度服务器是新崛起的一个类型。此外，刀片服务器与高密度服务器现在转向云端，特别是高密度服务器这类系统以最经济方式，采用一个类似刀片服务器机箱设计结构，与存储、网络设备有效连接。

由此，尽管业务会逐渐迁移到云端，但大部分仍会留在机架式服务器上，而高密度服务器肯定会因独特的设计和应用在云计算市场迎来一定的需求成长。未来的用户选择任何定制化产品，以符合各种应用业务需求，机架式服务器是市场主流，但高密度服务器需求也将呈现成长。
