Morning Routine – Waking Up, Showering, and Getting Ready

I usually wake up around 7 a.m. I turn off the alarm on my phone, which is lying on the nightstand next to my bed. I sit up, stretch a little, and reach for my glasses. Then I slide off the blanket, swing my legs off the bed, and put on my slippers.

I walk into the bathroom and turn on the light. First, I use the toilet. After that, I flush, wash my hands with some hand soap, and dry them with a towel.

Then I get ready to take a shower. I turn on the water and wait a few seconds for it to warm up. Once the temperature feels right, I step into the shower and pull the glass door shut behind me.

I start by rinsing my whole body with warm water. Then, I tilt my head forward and let the water soak my hair completely. I squeeze a small amount of shampoo into my palm, rub my hands together, and start massaging the shampoo into my scalp and hair. I take my time, making sure to clean thoroughly. After a minute or two, I rinse my hair with water until all the shampoo is gone.

Next, I grab the bottle of body wash and squeeze some onto a loofah. I scrub my body, starting from my neck down to my feet. Once I’m done, I rinse off all the soap. I turn off the shower and step out onto the bath mat.

I wrap a towel around my body and use another smaller towel to gently pat my hair dry. Then I go back to my bedroom.

I pick out some clean clothes from the wardrobe. I put on my underwear first, then a T-shirt and a pair of jeans. I also put on socks and slide into my sneakers.

Now it’s time to dry my hair. I plug in the hair dryer and grab a hairbrush. While brushing my hair with one hand, I hold the dryer with the other. I blow-dry my hair section by section, making sure it’s completely dry before I unplug the dryer and put it back in the drawer.

Breakfast and Getting Ready to Go Out

After getting dressed, I head to the kitchen to make breakfast. First, I fill up the electric kettle with water and turn it on to boil. While the water is heating, I grab a frying pan and place it on the stove.

I take two eggs from the fridge and crack them into a bowl. I whisk them with a fork, then pour the mixture into the heated pan with a bit of oil. I stir the eggs gently with a spatula until they’re scrambled and cooked.

Next, I take two slices of bread and pop them into the toaster. While the bread is toasting, I pour some yogurt into a bowl and slice up a banana to go with it.

The toast pops up, and I spread some butter on it while it’s still warm. The kettle finishes boiling, so I pour the hot water into a cup with a tea bag in it. I let it steep for a few minutes.

I sit down at the dining table and eat my breakfast: scrambled eggs, toast, banana yogurt, and a cup of tea. After I finish, I rinse the dishes and put them in the dish rack to dry.

Then, I brush my teeth. I squeeze some toothpaste onto my toothbrush and brush for about two minutes, making sure to clean every corner. After rinsing my mouth and washing my face, I use a towel to dry my face and hands.

Before leaving, I check my bag. I put my phone, keys, wallet, and water bottle inside. I also make sure my charger is in there, just in case. I grab a light jacket from the coat rack, slip it on, and put on a face mask if needed. Then I open the door, step into my shoes, and head out.

Lunchtime and Afternoon Routine

After coming back home around noon, I go straight to the kitchen to make lunch. I open the fridge to check what ingredients I have. I decide to reheat some leftovers from last night.

I take out a container of rice and some cooked vegetables. I remove the lid from the container and place it in the microwave. I set the timer for two minutes and press the start button.

While the food is heating up, I fill a glass with water and take out a pair of chopsticks. When the microwave beeps, I carefully remove the hot container using a kitchen towel to avoid burning my hand. I stir the food a little with a spoon to make sure it’s heated evenly.

I bring everything to the table and start eating. After I finish, I wash the dishes with dish soap and a sponge, then rinse them and place them on the rack to dry.

I feel a little tired after lunch, so I sit down on the sofa and relax for a while. I scroll through my phone, checking messages and watching a few short videos. It’s easy to get stuck in the loop of watching one clip after another, but after about twenty minutes, I put the phone down.

Then I decide to do some laundry. I gather my dirty clothes and carry them to the laundry area. I separate them by color: whites, darks, and lights. I open the lid of the washing machine and load in one batch of clothes.

I pour liquid detergent into the detergent compartment and set the wash cycle. I usually choose the “normal” setting, and then press the start button. The machine begins to fill with water and starts washing.

While the clothes are being washed, I take out the vacuum cleaner from the closet. I plug it into the wall outlet and start vacuuming the living room floor. I move the sofa a bit so I can get the dust underneath. Then I vacuum the hallway and the bedroom.

After vacuuming, I empty the dust container into the trash bin and wipe the vacuum down before putting it back in the closet.

When the washing machine finishes, I take out the clean clothes and shake them out to get rid of wrinkles. I carry them to the balcony and hang them up on the drying rack using clothespins. I make sure the heavier clothes are spread out so they can dry properly.

Evening Workout Routine

In the evening, I usually go out for a run. Before that, I head to my bedroom to change into my workout clothes. I open the wardrobe and take out a clean T-shirt, a pair of sports shorts, and my running shoes. I also grab a pair of athletic socks and a sweatband for my wrist.

I take off my regular clothes and put on my workout gear. I tie my shoelaces tightly and make sure my phone is charged. I slip my phone into an armband or pocket and put on my wireless earphones. I do a few light stretches in the living room—some arm circles, a few squats, and ankle rolls—to warm up before heading outside.

I lock the door, step into the hallway, and start jogging. I usually run about 4 kilometers around the neighborhood. As I run, I listen to music or a podcast. After the first kilometer, I start sweating. The air feels cool against my skin, but my body warms up quickly.

After I finish running, I slow down to walk for a few minutes as a cool-down. Once I’m back home, I take off my shoes at the door and wipe my face with a towel. I go into my room, take off my sweaty shirt and shorts, and hang them over the edge of the laundry basket to let them air out before washing.

I grab a fresh towel and lie down on my yoga mat to do some post-run stretches. I stretch my hamstrings, quads, and calves, holding each position for about 30 seconds. I also lie on my back and pull one knee toward my chest, then switch sides.

Once I’m done stretching, I go to the bathroom to take a shower. I turn on the hot water and step inside. I rinse off all the sweat, then use body wash and shampoo to clean up. After rinsing, I wrap myself in a towel and step out.

Back in the bedroom, I put on some clean pajamas—usually a loose T-shirt and cotton shorts. I spray a bit of body mist or use some lotion if my skin feels dry. Then I hang the damp towel on the bathroom rack to dry.

Evening Routine – Dinner, Cleaning Up, and Winding Down

After I’ve showered and changed into clean clothes, I head to the kitchen to make dinner. I usually keep it simple. I take out some vegetables from the fridge—maybe broccoli, carrots, and bell peppers. I rinse them under the tap and chop them on a cutting board using a kitchen knife.

I place a non-stick pan on the stove and drizzle in a bit of cooking oil. I toss the chopped vegetables into the pan and stir-fry them over medium heat. While that’s cooking, I take some rice from the rice cooker that I prepared earlier, or I heat up leftovers in the microwave.

If I want to add protein, I might crack an egg into the pan or heat up some pre-cooked chicken from the fridge. Once everything is ready, I plate the food and carry it to the dining table. I eat while listening to some quiet music or watching a short video on my tablet.

After dinner, I clear the table and bring the dirty dishes to the sink. I wash them by hand using dish soap, a sponge, and warm water. I rinse everything thoroughly and place them in the dish rack to air dry. I also wipe down the stove and countertop with a damp cloth to keep the kitchen clean.

Now it’s time to relax a bit. I sit on the sofa and check my phone—maybe reply to messages or scroll through social media for a few minutes. Sometimes I read a few pages of a book or journal a little about my day.

If it’s a warm night, I turn on the air conditioner using the remote control and adjust the temperature to something comfortable. I also plug in my phone charger and connect my phone so it can charge overnight.

Later in the evening, I trim my fingernails. I take the nail clipper from the drawer and sit at the desk with a tissue underneath to catch the clippings. After clipping, I use a nail file to smooth the edges. Then I throw the clippings in the trash and wash my hands.

Before bed, I like to tidy up the living room a little—fold the blanket on the couch, turn off any lights I’m not using, and put my water bottle on the nightstand. I brush my teeth again, wash my face with a gentle cleanser, and apply a bit of moisturizer.

I turn off the main lights and switch on a small bedside lamp. I get into bed, pull the blanket over me, and check if my alarm is set for the next morning. Then I turn off the lamp, close my eyes, and slowly fall asleep.
