Any brain exercise is better than being a total mental couch potato. 任何脑力锻炼都比整天坐在沙发上看电视要好。couch 是长沙发椅，英语中又常用potato泛指“人”，如"I’m just a small potato"（我只是个无足轻重的小人物），所以couch potato就是“（喜欢躺在沙发椅中的）懒人”的意思。前面加了mental 就指是智力上而非体力上的“懒人”。
