LeetCode 389: Find the Difference 题解

Given two strings s and t which consist of only lowercase letters.
String t is generated by random shuffling string s and then add one more letter at a random position.
Find the letter that was added in t.

Example:

Input:
s = "abcd"
t = "abcde"

Output:
e

Explanation:
'e' is the letter that was added.

刚开始很SB地去用循环扫描两个字符串。后来发现过不了，然后参考了别人的代码，恍然大悟：

char findTheDifference(char* s, char* t) {
    int lent = strlen(t);
    int i;
    char ch = 0;
    for(i = 0; i < lent; ++i) {
        ch ^= s[i];
        ch ^= t[i];
    }
    return ch;
}

举个例子：

s = "toeflgre"

t = "gerlkfoet"

ch = 0 ^ t ^ g ^ o ^ e ^ e ^ r ^ f ^ l ^ l ^ k ^ g ^ f ^ r ^ o ^ e ^ e ^ 0 ^ t 

相同的字母相异或为0，所以上面最后化简的结果就是k。
