Flow
- The default layout
Normal flow describes how block & inline elements that know each other work together in a layout.
- Block elements: vertical flow -- start at the top and move down the page.
- Inline elements: horizontal flow -- starting on the left and move to the right of the page.

- The vertical distance between two sibling boxes is determined by the 'margin' properties
- Each box's left outer edge touches the left edge of the containing block
Inline elements

display Property
- A property that overrides the default layout
- e.g.
