You are given an n x n 2D matrix representing an image.

Rotate the image by 90 degrees (clockwise).

Follow up:

Could you do this in-place?

Similar to Spiral Matrix II. Iterate over n / 2 circles. n is the length of the matrix. Exchange the 4 values at corresponding places to rotate, until all elements at that circle are rotated.

public class Solution {
    public void rotate(int[][] matrix) {
        if (matrix == null || matrix.length == 0 || matrix[0].length == 0 || matrix.length != matrix[0].length) {
            return;
        }
        
        int n = matrix.length;
        
        for (int i = 0; i < n / 2; i++) {
            for (int j = i; j < n - 1 - i; j++) {
                int temp = matrix[n - 1 - j][i];
                matrix[n - 1 - j][i] = matrix[n - 1 - i][n - 1 - j];
                matrix[n - 1 - i][n - 1 - j] = matrix[j][n - 1 - i];
                matrix[j][n - 1 - i] = matrix[i][j];
                matrix[i][j] = temp;
            }
        }
        
        return;
    }
}
