课程介绍

英语广泛用于工程技术领域的国际交流。如何使用简洁的语言清楚地传递信息是工程师在国际舞台上常常面临的问题。本课程讲解交流中需要考虑的要素及语言选择的策略要点，培养用英语进行定义、描写、解释、报告、阐释的能力，帮助工程技术人员灵活运用已有英语语言知识和技能，快速进行准确得体的口头和书面交流。

Write a short bio of no more than 150 words to introduce yourself as a young professional.

我的答案：

Liu Wenchen received a PhD degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2014, and a bachelor degree from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in 2009, both in Computer Science. He joined UESTC in June 2019. Before that, he was a Research Fellow in MIT respectively, working on advanced database systems (spatial databases, multimedia databases, etc.). Form June 2017 to May 2019, he worked as a Research Fellow in National University of Singapore. Liu Wenchen received the best paper award at the 29th ACM International Conference on Multimedia, the World’s FIRST 10K Best Paper Award – Platinum Award from the 28th IEEE International Conference on Multimedia & Expo, the best student paper award from the 26st ACM International Conference on Multimedia, the best paper award honorable mention at ACM SIGIR 2021, the best paper award at Australasian Database Conference 2012, the best paper award from the 14th International Conference on Web Information Systems Engineering, and the best paper runner-up award from the 27st International Conference on MultiMedia Modeling. His current research interests include big data analytics and computer vision.
