一、基本信息

【性质简介】：AF488, also known as Alexa Fluor 488, is a unique fluorescent dye with a chemical structure derived from sulfonated Rhodamine Green. Rhodamine green itself is an excellent fluorescent dye, and AF488 has been optimized and modified based on this. In the molecular structure of AF488, two sulfonic acid ions are introduced, which not only significantly enhances its water solubility but also enhances the fluorescence intensity. This modification has enabled AF488 to exhibit superior fluorescence effects in applications such as biomarkers, flow cytometry, and microscopic imaging. The pH stability and photostability of AF488 have also been significantly improved. This means that in complex biological environments, AF488 can maintain a more stable and reliable fluorescence signal, thereby providing more accurate and reliable data. Despite the aforementioned chemical modifications, the excitation and emission spectra of AF488 remained largely unchanged.
