The startup of Open Solaris 10.

I downloaded the 2 kinds of CDs for installation.

1. Open Solaris 2008 05 1 CD from  http://www.opensolaris.com/get/

2. Solaris 2008 5 CDs from http://www.sun.com/software/solaris/get.jsp

I have 2 machines, one is PC while another is laptop -T61.

Both of the 2 kinds boot cds can boot in my PC. But both of them can't boot in my T61.  In adidtion, I can boot into Open Solaris Preview by Open Solaris Live CD in PC(root/opensolaris, jack/jack).

The situation in T61 is like this,

1. Boot from CD.

2. The screen says 

    Loading stage 2...

3. Then it restart automatically.

4. It repeats again and again. 

Then I found there is bug to say this, please see

But it proves the bug has been fixed in the relase 2008 05. 

 

Moreover, My T61 can boot from Windos XP CD and Debian CD.
