Ubuntu Natty (11.04), debootstrap-ed chroot environment
Running most commands would receive the following warning message:

locale: Cannot set LC_CTYPE to default locale: No such file or directory locale: Cannot set LC_MESSAGES to default locale: No such file or directory locale: Cannot set LC_ALL to default locale: No such file or directory
Tested resolution is to add selected locale names to file
/var/lib/locales/supported.d/local
All supported names are available in /usr/share/i18n/SUPPORTED
