104.Maximum Depth of Binary Tree
Given a binary tree, find its maximum depth.
The maximum depth is the number of nodes along the longest path from the root node down to the farthest leaf node.
public class TreeNode {
int val;
TreeNode left;
TreeNode right;
TreeNode(int x) { val = x; }
}
方法一:用递归的方法
即二叉树的最大深度是其子树的最大深度+1,用递归的方法很容易想。
public int maxDepth(TreeNode root) {
if(root == null) return 0;
if(root.left == null && root.right == null) return 1;
return Math.max(maxDepth(root.left), maxDepth(root.right)) + 1;
}
public int maxDepth2(TreeNode root) {
if(root==null){
return 0;
}
return 1 + Math.max(maxDepth(root.left),maxDepth(root.right));
}
方法二:用队列的方法
采用队列的方法,按照二叉树的层次一层一层的向下遍历,关键点在同一层的节点在队列中是排在一起的,用一个内存变量记录层数,程序执行完返回该内存变量的值就是该二叉树的最大深度。
public int maxDepth3(TreeNode root) {
if(root==null){
return 0;
}
int depth = 0;
Queue<TreeNode> q = new LinkedList<>();
q.add(root);
while(!q.isEmpty()){
depth++;
for(int i = 0, n = q.size(); i < n; i++){
TreeNode node = q.poll();
if(node.left != null){
q.add(node.left);
}
if(node.right != null){
q.add(node.right);
}
}
}
return depth;
}
