选择使用哪些驱动程序，然后增加必要的配置设置到这个文件: /etc/portage/make.conf

x11-base/xorg-x11  元包可以被安装，而不是轻量化的 x11-base/xorg-server 。在功能上 x11-base/xorg-x11  和  x11-base/xorg-server  它们是一样的。 然而， x11-base/xorg-x11 附带更多的包，大多数的系统可能不需要。他的附加软件包，包括各式各样的语言字体包，它们不是X11工作框架所必需的。

当安装完成后，在继续之前一些环境变量将需要重新初始化。更新profile配置文件命令：

root # env-update

root #source /etc/profile

使用 startx

试试 startx 来运行  X server 。  startx 即执行一个'X会话'脚本;这个脚本 x11-apps/xinit 生成. 也就是说，它启动了X服务器并在它上面的一些图形应用程序。它使用下面的方式来判断该运行哪些应用程序：

• 如果一个叫做.xinitrc的文件存在于主目录（home）中，它会执行里面列出的命令。

• 否则，它会从/etc/env.d/90xsession读取 XSESSION 这个变量的值，并且将执行一个与之相对应的会话。XSESSION的值可以在/etc/X11/Sessions/文件中进行配置。例如，设置系统默认会话,以root身份运行：

root # echo XSESSION="Xfce4" > /etc/env.d/90xsession

这将创建文件： 90xsession ，然后设置默认X会话 Xfce 。 记得在 90xsession 修过后，执行命令 env-update 。

user $ startx

后面的我也不知道了，因为根本特么不是我做的啊！！！！

xfce-extra/xfce4-power-manager	An application to monitor and manage power usage. This is especially important for laptops! The power manager allows to adjust screen brightness, choose maximum performance or battery-saving modes, and setup hibernate, suspend, and shutdown actions when the lid is shut or buttons are pressed. Set xfce4-power-manager to warn when the battery reaches certain levels, or even turn off the machine. The application comes with a couple of helpful panel plugins to display battery/charging status, and a brightness control.
