Section 1 : 我喜欢你的时候你不喜欢我

• Brace: All i ever wanteded was for Juli Baker to leave me alone,it all began in the summer of 1935 before the start of second grade

• B.Father: here we are (我们到了)

• B.Mother: What do you guys think?

• B.Sister: I like this place,It’s cool, What color is my room?

• B.Mother: Just you wait.(等着看吧)

• B.Sister: Let’s see what’s inside.

• B.Father: Hey.come on,buddy Brace,why don’t you and i go help unload the van, and womenfolk here can get in the kitchen and start setting up（收拾）.

• Brace: OK

• Brace: For me it was the begining of what would be more than half a decade of strategic avoidance and social discomfort.

• Juli: hi,I’m Juli Baker.

• B.Father: Hey,What are you doing?

• Juli: Don’t you want some help? (注意这里用的want)

• B.Father: No,some valuable things in there.(注意这里用的in)

• Juli: How about this one?

• B.Father: No,why don’t you run along home,you mother is probably wondering where you are.

• Juli: No,my mother knows where i am,she said it’s fine

• Brace: it didn’t take long to realize this girl could not take a hint（识趣）

• B.Father: It’s awfully crowded in here with 3 people.(注意这里用的crowded in)

• Juli: I don’t mind.

• Brace: Of any kind.

• Juli: You wanna push this one together.(注意这里用的push)

• B.Father: isn’t it time for you to go help you mother ?(注意这里用的isn’t it)

• Brace: Oh,yeah

• Brace: I mean nothing could stop her,I was about to tell her to get lost(走开),when the weirdest thing happened,i couldn’t believe,there i was holding hands with this strange girl,How did i get into this mess ?

• B.Mother: well,hello,i see you’ve met my son.

• Brace: Finally,i did the only manly thing available when you’re 7 years old.

• Brace: However,my troubles were far from over,the minute i walked into Miss Yelson’s classroom.(注意这里用的walked into)

• Juli: Brace,Here you are.

• Brace: It was clear,school would not be a sanctuary.

• Classmate: Brace,Where is your girlfriend?

• Brace: I was branded for life.

• Classmate: Brace,Why don’t you ask her to marry you.

• Brace: My first year in town was a disaster,and the next three weren’t much better,But finally,in the sixth grade,i took action,i hatched a plan（想出计划）.

• Brace: Sherry,wait up.

• Brace: I asked Sherry out. (约Sherry)

• Brace: to fully appreciate the brilliance of this plan,you have to understand that Juli had always hated Sherry,tiugh i never understood why,Sherry was nice,friendly and she had a lot of hair.( had always hated 一直讨厌)

• Sherry: At first,my mother wouldn’t let me get my ears pierced,but i begged. (注意wouldn’t)

• Brace: The idea was that Sherry would eat with me,maybe we’d walk around together,and hopefully Juli would eventually lost interest.

• Sherry: But i can’t get hoops（耳环） till i’m sixteen.

• Brace: That’s a shame.

• Sherry: So marry wanted to get her ears pierced（打耳洞）,but of course her mother said no,so she threw a fit（发脾气） and smashed her album and she got grounded（禁足）,so now she can’t come to my pajama sleepover party.(she threw a fit:大发脾气，got grounded：禁足，pajama sleepover：睡衣过夜)

• Friend: What are you doing for your science project this year?(今年的科学项目准备做什么)

• Brace: That is,until my supposed best friend took an interest in Sherry.（对某人感兴趣）

• Sherry: I was thinking of showing how split ends react with different kinds of hair conditioners.(我想)

• Brace: Loyalty gave way to desire and Garrett,the turncoat told Sherry what i was up to.(这个叛徒告诉她我的计划)

• Brace: She didn’t take it well,world get back to Juli Baker,and pretty soon she start up with the goo-goo eyes again,only this time,it was worse, she start sniffing me,my only consolation（安慰） was that next year would be different,Junior high,maybe we’d be in different classes and it would finally be over.
