HW01-Describe an error from my past projects

The error about the identifying information

I tried to write an program which called To Do List. It is about that users could add, modify and delete the things on the list. And I use database to record the important information. When executing the program and giving the correct instructions, the information about database will refresh immediately.

 

The first time I tested the program, the function of adding and modifying are successful. However, when I choose the thing I want to delete and press the button of confirm, it just disappeared on the current page. Then I refresh the website，the words doesn’t delete successfully.

 

In order to find the reason, I try to change the cases of testing many times. Finally, I find it is because that the program can’t identify the space between words. As a result, it can’t correspond the infofmation on database and delete the words in it. Meanwhile, I find that when I input the special symbols such as ‘——’, ‘……’ or ‘。’, which put on both the end of the sentence and the begin of the follow sentence, the compiler could identify the information and refresh the things in database successfully.

 

Finally, I tried to modify the function of deleting which needn’t to input special symbols each time. As a result, I add the codes about output information. Users input the information normally, and the output which show the whole things in the list which have the special symbols in the begin and the end.
