Cartalinea (Galdos Systems Inc.)

A robust and scalable geospatial web-services application, Cartalinea addresses the growing need for interoperable and standardized geographic information systems and services. Cartalinea is compliant with W3C and OGC standards, including Web Feature Service, Web Coverage Service, and Sensor Collection Service. In addition, Cartalinea includes the following features:

  • Transformation engine for user-defined data transformations (for example, schema mapping and coordinate transformations)
  • Action manager, which allows for user-defined realtime responses to changes in geographic data
  • Data protection that employs user-authentication, data branding and encryption
  • Maximized throughput enabled by compression and smart XML-parsing (codec)

Cartalinea comes with X-Hive/DB, a cutting-edge native XML database. Customers can also keep their data in an existing DBMS (for example, Oracle 9i) by purchasing the Cartalinea GML Connector option. Cartalinea also provides management tools for creating GML application schema from UML models.

Freestyler (Galdos Systems Inc.)

FreeStyler is the open-standards solution for the webbased mapping of GML data. FreeStyler components provide all the needed functionality for designing interactive maps, editing and managing symbols, managing map styles, and creating Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) or image-based maps.

  • XSLT Style Sheets for standard SVG or image-based map generation.
  • Plug-ins for popular graphics editors such as Adobe Illustrator, allowing easy and rapid creation of map symbols from a host of graphical data formats.
  • OGC/ebRIM compliant registries for managing map styles and symbol libraries
  • Fast generation of SVG or image-based maps from GML data from any OGC-compliant WFS, including Cartalinea.

Indicio (Galdos Systems Inc.)

The INdicio Geographic Registry is an e-business registry for geographic information and geospatial services. It plays the role of a matchmaker in a service-oriented architecture, enabling the dynamic discovery of web-based services or geographic data. Supporting both the UDDI interfaces and the OGC extensions to ebRIM (the Registry Information Model from the ebXML initiative), INdicio is the ideal solution for managing shared resources, such as service descriptions, XML (and GML) schemas, definitions of coordinate reference systems, map styles, geographic data sets, imagery and sensor data records. INdicio supports the ebRIM Life Cycle Management API, giving your data administrator control over the deployment, removal and status of any type of registered object from a data set to a service interface description (e.g., a WSDL document). Complex catalogues require the ability to organize and categorize the information to which they refer, and INdicio provides support for defining associations among registered resources and for applying classification schemes through the ebRIM Life Cycle Management API. Administrators can define custom classification schemes for registered objects and create arbitrary associations between pairs of registered objects. INdicio provides flexible, programmatic searches based on OGC Filter expressions, W3C XPath expressions, and the ebRIM AdHoc Query API. This flexibility is essential for supporting fine-grained queries, broad taxonomy-based searches, and spatial queries.
