字典的数据来源的问题以及 <<Matrix>>

写一个字典软件首先面临的问题就是原始数据来源的问题。说实话，我在十年前有心思写一个字典的时候就考虑过这个问题。没有原始的英中辞典数据，字典软件不过是空中阁楼罢了。

原始的字典数据，包括英英和英中，很难找到一些开源的。即便是著名的stardict也有很多问题。从这个邮件讨论合集里面就可以看到，debian的人对其数据来源提出了明确的质疑，但是我最后也没有看到作者给出一个明确的回答。

It is really hard to find the source of a dictionary which is made about
10 years ago. If there are license problems on these dictionaries, the
stardic and xdict also should be removed from Debian repos. We really
could not GUESS where the dictionaries come from. I will try to contact

如何解决这个问题？说实话，我没有办法，或者说，我没有好办法。这个问题我想了十年，而十年下来我如果没有找到捷径的话，也许这个世界上就真的不存在有捷径。所以我决定用最笨的办法：自己写一个，然后开源。

我不是翻译的专家，也没有受过任何翻译的训练，而在目前版权法如此严谨的情况下，自己写一个号称不受别的字典影响的字典－－避免被别人告－－好像也不是很容易。说实话，这写顾虑其实也是我一直都没有开始写的原因。我一直都在想，写这么一本字典好像已经偏离了我写软件的初衷，估且不论我是否能够独立完成，即便写出来了，又有多大的价值呢？人家的牛津字典已经卖了上千万册了，金山词霸也上网免费了，我在21世纪做20世纪的工作，是不是太晚了一点。。。有千万的理由阻止我自己从零开始写一本英中字典，所以我被阻止了十年。

我最后决定还是自己采用笨办法的理由只有一个：我总是想，如果十年以前我就开始写了，我现在也许已经有一个雏形了。时间就在我的踌躇之中浪费了。如果一定要让自己的理由变得有哲理一点，我可以这么说：讨论做一件事情有没有意义其实是错误的。因为事情有没有意义是一个唯心的命题。在唯心的世界里，存在的就是有意义的，正如音乐发烧友可以吃着方便面欣赏一万块的音响一样，只要我想做，这件事情就是有意义的，因为它对于我是有意义的。生命，到最后也不过是一串选择的合集。正如<<Matrix>>里面Neo和Agent Smith最后的对话：
