Orange Audio Converter是一款音频文件格式的提取转换工具。不仅可以在不用的音频文件之间转换文件格式，采样率，比特率，声道；而且可以从视频文件中提取音轨，再转换成其他格式的声音文件。

3GPP2 is the new worldwide standards for the creation, delivery and playback of multimedia over 3rd generation, high-speed wireless networks. Defined by the 3rd Generation Partnership Project and 3rd Generation Partnership Project 2 respectively, this standard seesk to provide uniform delivery of rich multimedia over newly evolved, broadband mobile networks (3rd generation networks) to the latest multimedia-enabled wireless devices.

.flac (Free Lossless Audio Codec)

FLAC stands for Free Lossless Audio Codec. Grossly oversimplified, FLAC is similar to MP3, but lossless, meaning that audio is compressed in FLAC without any loss in quality. This is similar to how Zip works, except with FLAC you will get much better compression because it is designed specifically for audio, and you can play back compressed FLAC files in your favorite player just like you would an MP3 file.

MP3 is the de facto standard of audio coding. MP3 provides significant compression from the original audio source with very little loss in sound quality. The compression up to 12:1 produces a very little loss in sound quality. Tighter compression can be achieved, but it will result in worse sound quality.

To obtain certain compression, we must adjust the bit rate. Higher the bit rate - better the sound quality - larger the file and vica versa.

There are many different formats you can choose from:

Near CD Quality: Predefined setting that creates near CD quality constant bit rate file
CD Quality: Predefined setting that creates CD quality constant bit rate file

CBR 8 kbit/s - 320 kbit/s: Creates constant bit rate file with the selected bit rate

ABR: Variable bit rate format where you can set the targeted bit rate. ABR should always

give results equal or better than CBR.

VBR: Variable bit rate where the quality of the output is selected from 0 to 9 where 0 is the highest quality and 9 is the lowest quality. The actual bit rate of the output is unpredictable, it depends of the type of the music encoded

Presets: Predefined high quality settings. Slower encoding but the quality of the output is usually higher. Presets always use variable bit rate encoding.

.m4a (AAC) / .m4a (aacPlus v1) / .m4a (aacPlus v2)

AAC/aacPlus v1/aacPlus v2 encoded audio written to ISO MPEG-4 file format. Same as .mp4 except the file extension.

.m4a (Nero Digital)

Nero Digital (AAC/HE-AAC) encoded audio written to ISO MPEG-4 file format. Same as .mp4 except the file extension.

Nero AAC Codec, which is included in Nero Burning ROM. The existence of the Nero AAC Codec is automatically detected. If you have Nero Burning ROM installed in your system, you will have an option to use Nero AAC Codec to create .m4a files.

 

.mp4 (AAC) / .mp4 (aacPlus v1) / .mp4 (aacPlus v2)

AAC/aacPlus v1/aacPlus v2 encoded audio written to ISO MPEG-4 file format. Same as .m4a except the file extension.

.wav (Standard)

The output will be in Windows Wave format with .wav extension. The contents of the Wave will be in PCM format. Sound in "16-bit Stereo 44.1kHz" format takes 176.4 kilobytes / second.

.wav is a file format that can contain any type of audio data. Iit requires that a codec for the format is installed in the system.

.wav (ADPCM)

Adaptive Differential Pulse Code Modulation - This method of encoding WAV files takes up less storage space than the regular Uncompressed PCM format.

.wma (Windows Media Audio)

Microsoft's audio coding formats. Windows Media Audio 8, Windows Media Audio 9, and Windows Media Audio 9.1. You can download the Windows Media Audio codecs from http://www.poikosoft.com/download.html.
