[Java]--Keyword super

1. Acessing Superclass Members

If we have Override certain superclass’ method. Perhaps we could invoke the overridden method using the key work super.. Please see the code below!

public class Superclass {

    public void printMethod() {
        System.out.println("Printed in Superclass.");
    }
}

public class Subclass extends Superclass {

    // overrides printMethod in Superclass
    public void printMethod() {
        super.printMethod();
        System.out.println("Printed in Subclass");
    }
    public static void main(String[] args) {
        Subclass s = new Subclass();
        s.printMethod();    
    }
}

The output:

Printed in Superclass.
Printed in Subclass

2. Subclass Constructors(子类构造方法)

public class Bicycle {

    // the Bicycle class has three fields
    public int cadence;
    public int gear;
    public int speed;

    // the Bicycle class has one constructor
    public Bicycle(int startCadence, int startSpeed, int startGear) {
        gear = startGear;
        cadence = startCadence;
        speed = startSpeed;
    }

    // the Bicycle class has four methods
    public void setCadence(int newValue) {
        cadence = newValue;
    }

    public void setGear(int newValue) {
        gear = newValue;
    }

    public void applyBrake(int decrement) {
        speed -= decrement;
    }

        speed += increment;
    }

}

public MountainBike(int startHeight, 
                    int startCadence,
                    int startSpeed,
                    int startGear) {
    super(startCadence, startSpeed, startGear);
    seatHeight = startHeight;
} 

Attention: Invocation of the superclass constructor must be the first line in the subclass constructor.
