Leetcode: Length of Last Word

Given a string s consists of upper/lower-case alphabets and empty space characters ’ ‘, return the length of last word in the string.

If the last word does not exist, return 0.

Note: A word is defined as a character sequence consists of non-space characters only.

For example,
Given s = “Hello World”,
return 5.

分析：

给你一个字符串，返回最后一个单词的长度。有大小写。

单词是以空格分隔的，如果最后一个单词不存在，返回0；

    public static int lengthOfLastWord(String s) {
        if(s=="") return 0;
        int result=0;
        s=s.trim();
        for(int i=s.length()-1;i>=0;i--){
            if(s.charAt(i)!=' ') result++ ;
            else break;
        }
        return result;
    }

注意：
考虑“a ” 实际应该返回1.
所以先去掉字符串两边的空格，然后再计算。
