install pry:

 

   1. gem install pry or insert "gem 'pry'" in your Gemfile

   

   2. in config/environments/development.rb  insert:

        silence_warnings do

          begin

             require 'pry'

             IRB = Pry

          rescue LoadError

          end

        end
