Coursera-数据管理与可视化-week 1作业

After looking through the codebook for the NESARC study, I have decided to focus on alcohol abuse/ dependence. So far specific variables need to be further determined, as a result, I include many relevant variables “ever had to drink more to get the effect wanted”.（'S2BQ1A2' in nesarc code book)

With this starting point, I need to determine what it is about alcohol dependence that I am interested in. My family really enjoys drinking beer and liquor and they drink very often. They seemed to be addicted when they have a few experience and start to drink more. It inspired me that drinking frequency and quantity might have an association with alcohol dependence.

As a result, I decide that I am most interested in exploring the association between level of drinking beer and alcohol dependence. I add to my codebook variables reflecting drinking levels such as how often drank beer in last 12 months('S2AQ5B') and  number of beer usually consumed on days when drink beer in last 12 months('S2AQ5D').
