Navigate to the Centos Mirror. Select your architecture (i386 for 32bit, x86_64 for 64bit) Click the Packages link Download the rpm-libs-4.8.0-55.el6.[arch].rpm package. cd to the root directory cd / Unpack the rpm using: sudo rpm2cpio /path/to/rpm-libs-4.8.0-55.el6.[arch].rpm | cpio -idmv
