Some issues encountered in Node.js First Look

There are some issues encountered when learning Node.js First Look.

• Issue: After "npm install -g express", run express xxx (app name), show error "express command not found".

    Solution: using "nom install -g express-generator" instead because express has split the function which is used to create an app into express-generator.

• If you run "express xxx", then you use jade (default) as template engine; if you run "express -e xxx", then you use ejs as template engine.

• Issue: Run "node app.js" cannot launch app.js.

    Solution: using "npm start" instead because in package.json, there is following line {"start": "node ./bin/www"}, "npm start" is equal to "node ./bin/www".
