When Grid Control SETUP in Linux AS4 Platform,there is a deadfall

Dear my friends of itpub,Maybe I begin to record my experience in Oracle in English,starting with today. I try my best to show my idea to all fans of Oracle DB.

BTW:From EM release 5, it can integrated IBM middleware,HP openview ,DB2 ,SAP and most of DB and Middleware.However, It can support OS and application all the time. To everyone's surprise, It change very strong feature.Please enjoy it.

       Yestoday, I setup Enterprise Manager Grid Control in Linux AS 4 Platform.In the beginning stage of enviroment configuration, you also need to setup your OS enviroment as the same to setup oracle DB.For e.g.,Installed OS need to be statisfied with certification with Metalink.Then , To patch OS to newest release is very important for Grid. If the patch would be old, you may encounter termination during installing. So If you would be availiable,you would better to check readme document or related base install documents.

     However,you usually create user oracle, dba group and oinstall group with right privilege. Never forget to setup profile for oracle user ev, ORACLE_HOME,oracle_sid,oracle_base,path and so on.

     In the front of setup, that's ok. I start to setup Grid.

Step 1: Select Install Type for first install

Step 2: select ORACLE_HOME

 

Step 3: Prerequisites Check

Step 4：specified configuration

Step 5: Optional Setup

Step 6: security option

Step 7: Summary

Step 8: Setup Processing

Now You must encounter some errors related to makefile or make. You can terminate setup and recover setup after restarting runInstaller. You will have seen some errors about nnfgtable,client_ and so on. This is a bug. I find a solution in Metalink.

Problem statement:

RELINK FAILS ON 10.2 GC INSTALL -LIBCLNTSH.SO: UNDEFINED REFERENCE TO NNFGTABLE

But it can be over after restarting runInstaller ,then select recover setup.
