一：Dropping Online Redo  Log File Groups

语法：

ALTER DATABASE [database]

DROP LOGFILE {GROUP integer|('filename'[,

'filename']...)}

[,{GROUP integer|('filename'[,

'filename']...)}]...

例：

ALTER DATABASE DROP LOGFILE GROUP 3;

注意点：

? An instance requires at least two groups of online redo log files.

? An active or currentgroup cannot be dropped.

? When an online redo log file group is dropped, the operating system files are not deleted.只是修改了控制文件的相关信息。

二：Dropping Online Redo Log File Members

例：

ALTER DATABASE DROP LOGFILE MEMBER

'$HOME/ORADATA/u04/log3c.rdo';

ALTER DATABASE [database]

DROP LOGFILE MEMBER 'filename'[, 'filename']...

这个删除只是修改了控制文件的相关内容。

注意点：

? If the member you want to drop is the last valid member of the group, you cannot drop that member.这时可以直接删除组。

? If the group is current, you must force a log file switch before you can drop the member.

? If the database is running in ARCHIVELOG mode and the log file group to which the member belongs is not archived, then the member cannot be dropped.

? When an online redo log filemember is dropped, the operating system file is not deleted if you are not using the OMF feature.可以用操作系统的命令再删除该文件。
