Roadrunners to kick off outdoor season this weekend at Texas State Elite meet
The track & field teams officially will kick off the outdoor season this weekend when they travel to San Marcos for the Ed Reed Elite Jersey Texas State Elite meet. The two-day event is scheduled to begin on Friday at the Texas State Track & Field Stadium.
The invitational will feature athletes from seven schools with nationally-ranked Arkansas, Illinois, Texas and UCLA joining the Bobcats and Roadrunners. The Razorbacks men and women are ranked second and 12th, respectively, while the Fighting Illini women stand 16th, the Longhorns are fourth and fifth and the Bruins 12th and 21st in the U.S. Track & Field http://www.shoptexansnfljersey.com/20_ed_reed_jersey_authentic_black_limited_cheap.html and Cross Country Coaches Association's preseason top 25 poll.
All the action gets underway with the women's hammer throw at 2 p.m. and the women's discus will be contested two hours later on the opening day. This outdoor season marks UTSA's first and only as a member of the Western Athletic Conference before making the move to Conference USA.
