[@more@]Watched a TV program today, couple of teams make boat and it抯 a competition. There was also a same program I watched in China, a Chinese version. Both programs shared a same target, make a boat in a limited time, each team member should board on their own ship when it抯 been put into water.

The Chinese version, directors make themselves very simple; they request each team to find proper material by themselves nearby a river. The Canadian one, directors prepare everything the need, tools, materials. Each team has the same material and tool set.

None of the Chinese version team successfully uses their boat to cross the river, and all sank in the river. While in the Canadian version, all of them accomplish the mission, they are not required to cross a river using their new boat. Even, it抯 required, I suppose, they will get this target easily.

Since the Chinese version, there is no tools and materials prepared, the teams have to find material by the river side. The beg from the villagers for help to get material, they collect bamboo, sticks, plastic bottles abandoned, and so one. Honestly to say, the boats made are so ugly, and can抰 really believe they dare to board on such a BOAT. Their destinies are decided in the beginning by the directors.

Also, in the Canadian version, materials are more than enough, and tools prepared are excellent, and just what you needed. Each team concentrates on making their boat efficiently with their person flavors. Boats are made very firmly, even there was prepared a cart to carry the boats to the riverside.

It抯 easy to say that the both version reflect the different of two countries. Chinese, are not industrialized, they don抰 understand to make a good boat, you need much support from others, and you can抰 only say you want to make a boat from zero. The Chinese team are suffered too much on how to communicate with villagers to get help, they believe the one who has better communication skill is essential to attain the target. The Canadian one, they are much beyond of making a boat, they are very sure each team can make a boat; they want to make it different with their own ideals. And it抯 found each boat they made are quite different, even one team made an anchor. I am pretty admiring the Canadian team, they got lots of wonderful tools, and made them very efficient in doing anything they want to. While the Chinese team, they quarry too much in the process. Seems this a zoom in version of the two societies.
