Use
The records in the application log are not automatically deleted by the system. To prevent the database from overflowing, we recommend that you delete the records at regular intervals.
If required, you can also schedule a background processing job to carry out this task.
SAP R/3
In SAP R/3, you can use the report RDELALOG to delete records from the application log. As a prerequisite, your SAP R/3 system must possess an SAP APO Core Interface (CIF).
To delete entries, use transaction CFGD or choose:
· For SAP R/3 3.1I – 4.5B, in the CIF area menu: Monitoring ® Application Log ® Delete Entries.
· As of SAP R/3 4.6B, in the SAP Easy Access Menu: Logistics ® Central Functions ® Supply Chain Planning Interface ® Core Interface Advanced Planner and Optimizer ®Monitoring ®Application Log ® Delete Entries.
SAP APO
In SAP APO, you can use the report /SAPAPO/RDELALOG to delete records from the application log.
To delete entries, use transaction /SAPAPO/C6 or choose:
· In the SAP Easy Access menu: APO Administration ® Integration ® Monitor ® Application Log ® Delete Entries.
If you do not make any entries in the date and time fields, all records that are older than one week are automatically deleted.
In both SAP APO and SAP R/3 (as of SAP R/3 4.6), it is also possible to delete logs using the transaction SLG2.
