Broncos Game On 'Monday Night Football' VIDEO

The replacement referees used by the NFL during an ongoing labor dispute with league officials delivered a string of ineffective performances on Sunday (when they weren't being benched for posting to Facebook about their rooting interests).

It only got worse during on Monday night as replacement officials looked entirely out of their depth throughout a matchup between the Denver Broncos and Atlanta Falcons. The ineffectual and inconsistent administration of the rules of the game was perhaps most glaring following a fumble by Denver running back Knowshon Moreno in the first quarter.

Moreno lost possession of the ball near Atlanta's 40yard line and players from both sides tried jumping on it, resulting in the usual pileup. With players from both sides pushing and shoving, the refs had trouble restoring order. like with everything you get what you pay for! the people that own the league and like other sports make tens if not hundreds of millions of dollars. when you are stingy with an already profitable sport who is the effected? the FANS. the owners wont be effected one bit theyl still be mega rich. but to save a few bucks it shows their character. give the refs what they want and lets get back to REAL FOOTBALL. the rich will have to pay now or Mitchell And Ness Jim Plunkett Jersey later cause i for one dont want to watch crappy game full of mistakes and missed acheivements. pay them !

Absolutely! Has it been a disaster? Absolutely not! Remember, these guys are high school, D2 and D 3 refs. The D1 college refs are contracted to their conferences so they can't officiate. All in all, things have been 90% smooth. As a matter of fact, I like seeing some nocalls between DB and WR. The NFL has the most ridiculous PI rule in all of football.
